        The Up North Bar is so much more than a bar, its the central gathering place of local live music in Madison. From the management to the bartenders to the musicians that play 630-9 every M-F this place is top notch. But the people who gather here are what makes it magical. Its a family and you might not find them all there at once but they are there, they are involved, and they care about you and once in a while theyre all there. You come to up north bar a stranger, youll leave with a smile, a new friend, most likely a new family if you came to enjoy the great music. Up north is joyous part of my life and the family there is unlike anywhere else
