    I had no idea I would love working here this much!! I am so glad I accepted the offer to come work at All Saints Neighborhood. Every day is different in the best way! The staff is top notch and management is very approachable. The dignity and care of residents is always top priority.

    My dad was at All Saints Memory Care (managed by ElderSpan) for more than three years, including through the entire pandemic. There really arent words to describe how lucky we feel to have found All Saints. My dad had wonderful care, was valued as a unique human being (as are all their residents), and was treated with kindness and dignity by every person every single day. I watched hundreds of interactions between staff and residents over those years and never saw anything but patience, warmth and respect. They try to make every day a quality day for the residents, and they never say "no" to a request when there is any feasible way for them to say "yes". It is a truly amazing place with an incredible staff, all of whom can think creatively and act compassionately in handling the challenges of dementia. From the administration to the RNs, activity directors, desk staff, resident assistants, and housekeeping/food staff, everyone is extraordinary. All Saints has my very highest recommendation.

    A typical day as Activity Director is full of diverse options for our residents focusing on the whole person; we have social time, community visitors, intellectual pursuits, games, music, sing-alongs, outdoor time in the gardens, therapy dog visitors, spiritual pursuits in many traditions, volunteerism opportunities for veterans and children in need, tech exploration with podcasts & current entertainment shows, book club, baking, brain-health, lots of exercise and body-health, and fun and interesting trips. I've been with Elderspan for about ten years with a short year or two as an RA as attending Edgewood College for my BS in art and earth science. I can use a great deal of that education for our residents benefit - and its very fulfilling work.

    I was hired at All Saints Memory Care one month ago. In my short time, I witnessed many immoralities. Here are just a few of the issues with ASMC: Training not provided before start of work, Some RNs do not respect RAs, Some RNs and RAs do not treat residents with dignity and respect, Evidence is not required for formal complaints, Many RAs treat residents as a chore and not a person, All Saints is Catholic, however, it suppresses workers who talk about the faith with residents , Breaks are not guaranteed , Unlawful practices are overlooked (medications, breaks, resident treatment, moving resident with broken leg, letting resident leave building, resident treatment in general), Many RAs and RNs overreact to various situations, which only makes the situations worse, Residents are blamed for mistakes made by RNs and RAs, The open door policy is not followed, RA rights are suppressed by RNs, Many RNs and RAs are unsuitable for this job, Residents are not allowed adequate time on the patio (in the PM shift), and many employees do not have the experience necessary for their position. These are just the issues that I witnessed.
