We recently worked with Borton Construction on renovating a century-old building and was impressed with the quality of their work. The craftsmanship displayed in preserving the historical elements while integrating modern amenities was exceptional. We appreciated their ideas and help in troubleshooting and overcoming some of the challenges associated with remodeling an historic building without compromising our overall vision for the project. Walking to Kroner hardware this morning i saw the Safety fences getting put up in front of the old Vaaler Gamble Hardware building (now Brothers Bar).I talked to your very nice man for a minute to ask him what company was doing the work and he was gracious and friendly while i was yapping to him that the safety fence was a good idea w the (eager to socialize)college kids getting back in town.Also great to see the Fortney family partnering w a local owned company whose hard working team members put the money they earn back into the local economy.With so many of the jobs gone from La Crosse that paid well enough to support families w home mortgages it is always a big plus to also see local companies doing such amazing work on the 150 year old buildings of our downtown's National Historic District that the money spending tourists rave about.

Borton Construction did a fantastic job building our new office building. They worked closely with us and our architects to make sure every little detail was taken care of. They were personable and fun to work with.
