Bought a house that these people "flipped". Talk about poor craftsmanship EVERYWHERE!! Cabinets weren't hung properly (only 1 screw in some of the upper cabinets and a piece of trim holding another in place. Soft close drawers were not installed properly so they do not glide at all - it's more like a tug of war. Tile installed HORRIBLY uneven and cracked (with no cement board under the tile (and now it's starting to mold). Can lights falling out of ceiling due to holes being cut to big and an "attempt" at using silicone to hold in place. And let's not forget about the shower head that moves back and forth because it was never attached behind the wall. Sub par materials were used everywhere including the cheap cabinets (they look nice but being contractors we know garbage when we see them). Everything was purchased from the big box stores so the faucets all broke within a year (those big box store faucets have plastic insides). The problem is that we aren't wasteful so didn't just rip everything out. Now that we've been in the house a few years we are looking to remodel. Of course we will do our own work since we KNOW that we only do quality work, using quality products and won't "just get it done". Oh, and did I mention that they were supposed to come back and fix everything that we found but, of course, once the papers were signed we never heard from them again despite multiple attempts and attempts through the real estate agents. And taking them to court would have cost us more money in the end so guess what they got away with not doing...EVERYTHING!!! So happy public records let me find that this company (associated with Kenosha Racine Granite) so I could let people know what type of work/ethics this company believes in.

I am a licensed architect and this is the most unprofessional company that I have ever worked with in the construction industry. I had to work with this company for over 6 months and the contractor still ended up having to hire other companies to finish their work. I submitted architectural drawings to the company, specifically to both Don and Mark, in late July for them to bid on. The drawings showed custom cabinets for a pantry and a double wall oven along with some custom painted island cabinets. They provided a quote and asked questions but never once did they say they could not do custom cabinets. Ownership, myself, and the contractor, selected this company and the owner gave them a 50% down payment (through the contractor). After a month of going back and forth with questions and answers, they started to respond less and less to my messages and the contractor's. I requested shop drawings of the cabinets to make sure everyone was on the same page before the cabinets were fabricated, which is a standard practice in the construction process. I received only part of the shop drawings, which were very different than the drawings that I, the architect showed. After telling them their shop drawings needed to match what the architect's drawings showed, they said they couldn't do it and that they do not provide custom work. After fighting with them for weeks over it, ownership instructed the contractor to pull the custom cabinets from their scope so the project wasn't further delayed and use another company for that. Unfortunately, ownership, myself, and the contractor did not walk away from them at this time as we all thought we were in too deep (it only got deeper) I requested that they update their shop drawings and send the contractor the missing portion of the shop drawings. This took over 4 weeks of back and forth to get corrected shop drawings. They kept telling the contractor and myself what we wanted to hear. They always said, "we will have the cabinets done for you in 2 weeks." Well after nearly 5 months of this nightmare, the owners were still without cabinets and countertops. It only got worse when it came to the countertops! After we finally received the cabinets in the middle of December ( which the contractor had to pick up from them and rent a Uhaul because the contractor could not trust them to deliver the cabinets on time - typically the cabinet company will deliver them to the job site), they would not let the contractor cancel the order for the countertops, saying that they were already ordered. Don then looked me in the eye, shook my hand, and said "the countertops will be installed no later than January 19th". Up until Janaury 19th, the contractor contacted them multiple times to confirm the countertop delivery date of January 19th, with very little response from them the week of January 19th. When January 19th arrived, no countertops were delivered. The contractor had to physically go to their shop to get an update on where the countertops were - no one called the owners, the contractor, or myself, let alone writing any of us an email to inform us that the countertops were not being delivered. Upon showing up to their shop in person, the contractor found out that they didn't even have the countertops delivered to their shop. The worst part was all the time lost and wasted. Throughout this time, Don had been extremely rude, insulting, non communicative and unprofessional. He had created nothing but headaches for everyone involved and didn't even attempt to get this project wrapped up, even though the contractor gave him over $6,000 as a deposit. The contractor hired another company and they finished the job within 3 weeks of being hired. Please stay away from this company and do not give them your business. Please feel free to contact me directly (facebook or linkedin is acceptable) if you have any additional questions. I will be more than happy to prevent you from having to deal with these hacks.
