Even if u have children they can't help you. And they judge u because I have a charge for defending yourself from your abuser they won't help you. I mine as well end up dead cause they won't help.

They only offer shelter for people with children. If you are being abused and dont have children good luck finding shelter anywhere in rock county. They literally do not care about women without children at all. I guess we arent worthy enough.

Im writing this review a year or so later ..I came across the reviews as I was just coming to get the phone number to put on a rental application..anyways I came to Wisconsin and found this shelter on google fleeing from my abuser in Illinois. I stayed here for a total of 6 months. Me and my kids are very grateful of every staff member there. We created special bonds w. Everyone. , miss Danielle, miss Angie, miss Theresa, and miss Cindy. Lucas, Kat, Sam everyone was awesome. I made friends w. Almost every family there. I even still talk to a woman I met there. Its very clean when everyone is on board w. Their chores. You cook and eat your own food. But theres always something there if you cant or dont have anything. The rooms were big. Enough bathrooms. Best shelter Ive ever been to. Of course you have some ppl who just arent ready to get there stuff together. But if you want genuine support on your journey this is a great place
