We have only been here a short while but the staff and the apartment are outstanding. We have felt very welcome here. My whole family have felt nothing but joy every time we come to our apartment and our girls have loved every second here. We cant wait to enjoy every moment living on this property.

Just moved into Toonen Properties, and our experience was top notch! The leasing manager and property manager are both wonderful to work with. They got us approved, moved and settled in record time. Very friendly staff and beautiful living - apartments are newer and clean, and the grounds are well maintained. Would highly recommend!

UPDATE: Tried calling to discuss security deposit as offered in the answer but nobody answered nor did I ever receive a call back from my voice message I left. Absolutely the worst property management I have ever had to deal with, I lived there for 5 years and didnt have heat in my bedroom and 2nd bathroom and every year I asked them to fix it, the maintenance just said they would need a technician for it but they can tell there is no heat coming from the pipes, NOTHING was ever done and then in the end when I finally found a home they had the audacity to keep most of my security deposit even though the apartment was returned spotless. On top of that my rent went up almost 500$ per month in those years, so yeah make sure your income increases by a lot every year since that is so easy nowadays to match. There are so many other things that happened in those years and many other people I have talked to who moved out just months after they moved in because they were discriminated against because they got a dent in their car and Toonen does not accept rusty or dented cars on their lot. Do I have to say more? My broom was on the balcony in the corner and I was asked to remove it. Just the pettiest things I have ever heard of. As long as they make money, they do not care how absurd the rules are they are making. I would say worry about people being warm in their homes first and then you can ask for things in return. Definitely would never use these properties again.

I have been a customer for almost 20 years. Recently I lost my job and got behind on my rent. I tried to negotiate with them to possibly get at least some of the late fees dropped but was told they could not make any exeptions. OK fine, But every time I went in to take care of the issue, they kept telling me that they coul;dn't fine my payments in the system. Today was the last straw. I went to check to see if they had removed the lock from my unit and it was still on there. I figured they just hadn't gotten around to it so I stopped in to ask them to remove it and was told that I STILL owed $120 in late fees that I had PAID. I came back and showed them my receipts and they said there was nothing they could do, even though I was standing there with the receipts! I'm supposed to be moving out by the end of the month and had made arrangements for help this weekend. You would think that given the fact that I have been a customer for almost 20 years, they could have taken care of this while they figure out their issues. Apparently, they have 4 people working in the office but none of them actually does anything with payments/bookkeeping. They get a big fat F for customer service. If I could. I wouldn't even give them one star! Can't wait to be done with them!
