After my SMX, I experienced two Capsular Contractures with a different plastic surgeon. Thus having yet a fourth surgery (DIEP flap) after my mastectomy is extremely stressful. Having a best friend go through a DIEP flap & being on a DIEP flap Facebook page along with research, I have been able to communicate with Dr. Adamson & Amber, PA with more knowledgeable questions & concerns than I did having an implant. Both have been overly informative, professional, caring and more versus my previous surgeon. They truly have gone the extra mile, assisting in lowering my stress level as I await surgery.

Took the time to get a chemical peel but it literally did nothing, I was looking forward to improving some spots on my skin that have been giving me trouble so I was hoping for better results. Ive gotten chemical peels before elsewhere that worked so much better. I took time out of schedule thinking I would actually peel but my skin looks and feels the same. I did not peel at all. If youre looking for a chemical peel without actually peeling definitely go here, if you expect to actually peel go elsewhere. I unfortunately gave into the package and prepaid for future peels and I wish I didnt. The aesthetician said you work up to an actual peel but it sounds like more of a money grab because you need to do/pay for three peels before you actually peel. She also said healthy skin doesnt peel but thats obvious.. but the point of a chemical peel is to peel. It is to treat skin imperfections and I dont see how that can happen without causing trauma to that outer layer of skin and letting it peel to expose fresh skin.
Edit - they request you to call after a review. If you do that they note your chart and thats it. I was told Id get a call, two weeks later no call.

Plastic Surgery & Skin Specialists: Please know that this is the place to go if you are in any need of any plastic surgery... I elected to have DIEP Flap reconstruction due to my circumstances. The ENTIRE staff is amazing, intelligent and helpful, but I must call out Dr. K A Adamson MD. assisted by Dr O'Connor. Over eight hours of surgery followed by 3 days in ICU as planned they were rockstars. During this experience they checked on me 2 times each day in person, showed genuine understanding of my symptoms and did not leave until they saw that I was comfortable. I do know that the talents of this office are unique to our area (maybe state) but they are truly the best! I did have a question on a Sunday after my hospital stay and Dr. Adamson was the individual who called me back within 10 minutes!!!!! I will recommend this clinic and its entire team for professional work they do! I do have a 2nd surgery coming up in a few weeks and I have complete confidence my experience will be just fine. Dr. O'Connor and Aly are the absolute best! I initially had consult with a different clinic and was told that my goals for after surgery weren't possible. I met with Dr. O'Connor and instantly felt comfortable. She listened to my concerns and postop goals. She ensured me that the surgery would help me and I completely trusted her. On surgery day, both Dr. O'Connor and Aly met me in the OR and were standing by my side while I was receiving sedation; this was a huge comfort. Recovery was a breeze and I believe that is because they told me exactly what to expect. The follow up from clinic staff and providers have been amazing as they were checking in and quickly responding to questions I had. I am forever grateful for Dr. O'Conner, Aly and team for changing my life!
