I have always been very happy with FCC until today. Over the w/e I lost my wallet, prompting me to suspend my debit card. Today I went into the Jefferson branch for a replacement. I explained the situation to Jamie A. She was not only unempathetic, but then also informed me that I would be charged a $10 replacement fee. During the course of our interaction, not once could she offer up an 'I'm sorry', or even a smile for that matter. Out of all the customer service representatives I spoke with today (due to this fiasco), she was the worst.

Not the same place it used to be! Non-existent customer service and rude employees. Started charging fees on accounts with direct deposits, even though their new accounts offer no fees for accounts with direct deposit. If you know any seniors that bank there, you might want to let them know because they are definitely taking advantage of people. My accounts are in the process of being closed and Im taking my money to Landmark.

Loan officers have major attitude problems. The staff also gave me the wrong routing number. Never bothered to notify me of the changes so I went a week without getting my pay check. Also, charge me $6 a month just to have a checking account.

A credit union charging its members new monthly fees for not having enough money in their account is inexcusable. For the people? Nope, not the ones login paycheck to paycheck, those folks get more fees. You are part of the problem and after 15 years here, I shut down my account. The new app launch a while back was a disaster. Waiting on hold for 30 minutes for bad customer service isnt ok. Were beyond disappointed. And now absolutely disgusted with your credit union

Hi there,

We're sorry to hear you have had a negative experience with our member service. That is something we take very seriously and work to improve constantly. We will pass your feedback along so we can use it in future trainings for our team members to learn from.

In the case of an inaccurate fee assessment, we have automated processes that apply or waive fees for our accounts. For privacy reasons, we can't talk about individual account specifics in public forums like this, but if a fee is applied in error, it is our policy to reverse the fee immediately for an affected member.

We would love an opportunity to hear more about your personal experience to learn from it. If you're interested in sharing specifics with us, please contact our Director of Member Service, Eric Iverson, and [email protected]. Or, you can feel free to call us at 920-563-7305.

We apologize for the member service you received and hope we can hear from you soon.

Hi, thank you for leaving your honest feedback. We value comments from any member, but certainly from a member of 15 years. We wanted to provide some additional context about our new checking accounts if that would be helpful.

Our Kickoff Checking account is set up for members to be exempt from the fee in three ways:
1. Members maintain a $100 balance in the account
2. Member is enrolled in direct deposit for any amount
3. Member is 21 years old or younger

There are costs to the credit union associated with servicing checking accounts, but we still wanted to make our checking accounts fee-free for our members. Bank of America, for example, assesses a fee for customers with less than a $500 daily balance, are over 25 years old, and are not a part of their rewards program which requires them to have a $20,000 3-month average balance. Something like that was always out of the question for us.

Between the $100 minimum and 21 and under exemption, we found the majority of our members would avoid the fee. We included an exemption for members with any direct deposit which further included members receiving social security, alimony, and other similar assistance. We purposefully did not include a specific denomination for a member's direct deposit so members with lower balances could remain unaffected.

It's possible those exemptions don't work for what you need out of a checking account. If you would like to speak further about your experience, you can reach out to our Director of Member Service, Eric Iverson at [email protected].

Thank you.
