After this was posted, I wrote here and asked for the person to contact me to see what happened. I have never treated someone named 'brodie' ao I have no idea who you are referring to. I would never 'start' a stimulant by email -- but for the past 18 months, shortages require people to go from one pharmacy to the next to find their meds. People often email me, or text me (yes, I allow both) and ask me to move it to this or that pharmacy.But you never called. I know you were notified about my response. And frankly, if a man calls and tells me 'I don't want my wife on this med' I suggest he go to hell. For you, I suggest you trust your husband, or leave him to find his own healthcare.As an aside, if you Google 'ADD' you will read about the huge increase in diagnoses if that chronic condition. It was usually missed because most jobs didn't require concentration. In an age of computers, the 30% of the population estimated by 'science' to have ADD are coming in for treatment. Just read a long article a couple days ago about the surge in diagnosis in women. There are well-known connections between ADD, leading to poor school performance, leading to higher risks for addiction. Very clear associations. So as I treat people for addiction to heroin or fentanyl, they eventually start talking about their work history over the years. Many, even most, of those patients do incredibly well when their ADD is treated. Studies show that recovering addicts maintain sobriety at higher rates when their ADD is treated.
