Inn Towne Hotel

I helped regrout a bathroom there over the summer. I think the inside is absolutely beautiful. Especially the staircase! The couple that were running the place at that time were inviting, had great ideas with high hopes, and it was contagious! However, there seemed to be an underlying, unspoken problem with the couple. This "problem" escalated to the point that the previous owner had to come back from quasi-retirement to take over. This was done overnight, literally. I never finished that bathroom. Terry Butler, (Tab), seems to dislike me intensely. I'm going to assume it's because this is an all men's transitional housing for men coming out of prison and I'm not a man. I get that 100%. She is very protective of those men. She wants them to succeed and not have the distraction or temptations that come with women either visiting or working there. That was the "old Tab". The new "Tab" is not looking out for all the men. She seems angry that she had to come back there. She's angry because her trust and judgement of character was misguided when she chose that couple. This caused her to seemingly mistrust everyone and project that sense of disloyalty and negativity onto anyone and everyone who seems to even slightly make a mistake. She seems to blow it out of proportion and won't listen to any reason, whatsoever. I personally like Tab and had many questions for her that I thought could help me on my journey of learning I've been on. I have heard that she not only does not feel the same but seemingly feels like I am plotting against her and the Inn Towne. What she originally started is great and I feel it could be an asset to Eau Claire. It's too bad that it seems to just be a room and boarding house for men at this point. I wish Tab the very best. I've met some great men there last summer and have remained friends with them since.

Bed bugs!! But she's trying to help and the placed helped me realize what humility is. Thanks Tab!

I stayed there for 4 months. It was a sleeping room with free decent food. I was blessed. Nancy was very nice.
