I love my local agency. They know my name when I walk in. Very knowledgeable about all the different policies we have with them. Its so nice to have an office to visit rather than having to do everything online.

I would give zero stars if I could! I was in a car accident and the person who totaled my car had American family. Its impossible to hear back from an agent once you are assigned to one. I was able to get a rental from American family which I ended up having to pay nearly $200 towards, complete your of pocket. Once they deemed my car totalled, they told me I would have until Tuesday to clean my car out for them. American family had a towing company come and pick up my car Saturday with all my school books and purse still inside. So I had to call into work and have my ride drive me down to Appleton which is four hours from where I live, another expense I had to pay because of American family's negligence. After I had my things and I was home safe, I called to see when I would be receiving my payment from the car. Four days after I sent my title in, I got an email saying it will be another week for payment. This whole situation has been over the course of 24 days. Never choose American family. They will drag out a situation that progressive would have had done in a week. Screw American family get progressive. Progressive will take care of you. American family will screw you over.
