image Food was good, service was good. Restaurant is big and very busy but seems well run. We will be going back

image The food and service here do not disappoint! A fantastic brunch experience, which explains the long waits. I appreciate the ability to see the love waitlist - somehow watching it get shorter makes the wait less cumbersome.
I tried several things from the menu, and I would recommend all of them. Everything was made with high quality ingredients and perfectly seasoned. They have the best take on a banana split that I have tried in a very long time!
I also commend their efforts toward sustainability. They serve water in aluminum cups, use locally sourced ingredients, and all takeaway packaging was biodegradable.

image So I came here with my dad per the recommendation of my twin brother who says this is his favorite breakfast place. The food is good, but I was hyped up to believe it was life-changing and it's not. The drinks we had were great (mimosa and coffee). Dad ordered Belgian waffles with berries and bacon, I ordered chicken and waffles with bacon. Both my dad and I agreed the bacon was not good. It tasted overcooked and just wasn't great. The waffles were good and very light. I really liked the chicken; it was cooked perfectly and the breading was very good.
So why 3 stars? Well first, the water tasted off. Like, I don't know if it was the aluminum cup or something else but it tasted somewhat salty. I asked my dad if he thought it tasted off but he didn't seem to think so and suggested it could have been the cup. Also, getting into the restaurant is a hot mess. There was almost no parking. The lot is just too small for the crowds the restaurant gets. Second, the confusing wait-list. So, I was told ahead of time to put my name on the wait-list which I did, but this system is so confusing. It said I would have a 2 hour wait because there were 17 people ahead, but in actuality there were 17 people on the wait-list and that we had to arrive within 2 hours. And when I marked that I had arrived they gave us 5 minutes to park, get into the restaurant and flag someone down to get seated. This system is bad and it would be much easier if they just took reservations.
Lastly (and I feel like this is something that is pretty concerning) the syrups are not labeled. So, our waffles came with 2 different syrup containers with different types of syrups (one is standard syrup, the other is a rosemary-soy sauce syrup). We weren't told until we were already eating which one was which and my dad put the rosemary-soy sauce syrup on his. Considering food allergies and dietary restrictions I feel like there's no excuse to not label the syrups. I asked my brother and he says that he always confuses the syrups, which I feel highlights the need to have these labels.
Overall, I still think this is a great option. The food was still solid, and the service was super fast and friendly. I'd come back on a less busy day.
Dietary restrictions: They need to (but currently don't) label the syrups, especially considering allergies and diet restrictions.
Parking: Basically parking is bad. There's definitely not enough parking for the restaurant. Had to park nearby and hike a bit to get to the restaurant.

Dear Katie, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We truly value your input as it helps us strive for excellence in both our food and hospitality. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed our food and the speediness of our service during your recent visit. However, we sincerely apologize for the aspects of your experience that fell short of your expectations.Regarding the bacon, we're disappointed to learn that it did not meet your satisfaction. It is one of our most popular items and we hate that a mistake may have been made in its preparation for your table. We will be on the lookout for anything we may be missing.Furthermore, we understand your concerns about the taste of the water. Unfortunately this issue occurs not because of our stainless steel cups but due to the fact that Brookfield/Waukesha county water is very heavy in minerals and must go through a softening process. This process uses salt, which is probably what you are tasting. Though it is absolutely safe to drink, we understand it may not be an ideal taste. In fact, your feedback is prompting us to look into getting a different filtration system that may mitigate this problem. While we do our best to provide a comfortable dining environment, external factors such as parking availability can sometimes present challenges beyond our control. We are already renting additional parking spaces from adjacent buildings to try and solve the problem but the high demand for our business at certain times outpaces our efforts.Your feedback on our wait-list system is also appreciated. We understand that clarity and transparency are crucial, and we apologize for any confusion you experienced. There are instructions on how the waitlist works before you sign up for the list. We will review our procedures to ensure that they are more intuitive and guest-friendly moving forward. Our goal is to ALWAYS be improving.Regarding the labeling of our syrups, we completely understand the importance of providing clear information, especially for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies. The syrup container tops are color-coded rather than labeled because the labels would consistently get ruined every time we wash the containers, but we understand this color-coding is only clear to the staff and we cannot expect our guests to memorize that. We have spoken to our staff of the importance of letting guests know which syrup is which if a table has multiple types of syrup. Thank you so much for bringing this issue to our attention and we will be working towards a solution. We truly appreciate your constructive feedback, as it helps us identify areas for improvement. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back maybe on a less busy day and provide you with the exceptional experience you deserve. Please feel free to reach out to us directly at [email protected] if you have any further concerns or if there is anything else we can do to enhance your future visits.Warm regards,Mimosa Management
