I would give zero stars if I could. Literally the worst, deceptive people I have ever had to deal with. First time I was ever injured at work and it was an awful experience from the very beginning. I did everything I was told and complied with all the rules. You are treated like a defendant and they take advantage of people not understanding the process. They only tell you what they have to, if even that. They withhold information and dont advise or guide you as they should. Only if you do your own research and ask questions will they give you a vague answer. They are not looking out to help you through your claim no matter what they say about wanting to. I first dealt with the pushiest, rudest, harassing claims adjuster named Yvonne, who just tries to intimidate you. She was so bad to work with that my HR had to get a new adjuster assigned to handle my claim. Her name was Stephanie, who didnt communicate with me at all. She was useless as well. No explanations or details from her and I always had to chase information down. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to be treated like this. This company is HORRIBLE!!! All I can say is if you are injured at work, your employer isnt the problem, the insurance company is. EMC is the most unprofessional, unethical work comp insurance company, and if you are unfortunate enough to get stuck with them, get an attorney right away.

Never received a renewal letter and my coverage lapsed for 2 days while I scrambled to make arrangements for coverage/renewal. Nobody was available to speak with me each time I called. In the end the state fined me $700.

Could have been move open and helpful, but what do you expect from an Insurance company.
