I've used Sedgewick twice. Once in 2014 and currently, now in 2016 after a surgery. Their slogan is "Caring Counts", but they do not care about anybody who is exercising warranted disability benefits. In 2014 I was in fear of losing my job and struggled to recoup missed pay and now in 2016 it's all of the same. If anyone takes the time to do research on this company, they will see there have been many lawsuits initiated against them because of things such as this. With my case specifically, I was sent back to work before fully recovered and had to leave to the emergency room after 5 hours into my shift. Sedgewick will not cover my absence from work this day, nor job protection, but somehow I continue on the same disability claim prior to my return. From a corporate standpoint, sure use them! They will save you nickels and dimes from your employee benefit account (even help you to terminate employees so you don't have to pay out benefits), but speaking as the common laborer, a tiny piece of the economic backbone, this company Sedgewick is as cold and greedy as they come.
