I worked with Ameriprise advisors from 2005 to 2007. They did an o.k. job for me, but the cost was fairly high for what they did. I have a small account (about $110k) and I didn't think that I received the service I should have gotten. Slow call back times, feeling rushed on the phone, etc. If it was just the mediocre service, I could understand that because I'm a small fish. If it was just the high cost, I could understand that because big companies can charge more. But the combo of high cost and mediocre service is what eventually drove me away.
