Very nice motel. Very clean rooms with fresh linen. However. No One wants to hear the laundry cleaning machines running at 4 AM! If you intend to do this, do not put someone in a room next door. I expected much better from a Hyatt chain. Rather meager breakfast offering

Another hassle-free Hampton stay ends a four-night five-star drive up to Wisconsin from Arizona. More and more, some Hampton brand hotels stand out against Hilton's way-post-Covid "get guests used to expecting just a room" (lower expectations and raise prices) policy. This Hampton has kept some much appreciated small sweet extras: Dark and Light Roast coffee (vs the Hilton-mandated switch to (blah) Regular, even mints on the bedside table, makeup remover wipes, and individual bar soaps at least. (Though the revolting unsanitary switch to bulk toiletries had to happen all-Hilton-brand-wide, supposedly to help the environment, single-use biodegradable containers would be far more eco-friendly.) Rooms: My King Room with microwave and refrigerator I found clean and functional - everything worked fine, including the Wi-Fi. Nearby activities: Beloit's old-style downtown is a few minutes' drive away, with interesting shops and restaurants on quaint-looking Grand Avenue. Walkability: Walkability is not particularly inviting or scenic, in my opinion, but doable enough. Food & drinks: Like in most Hampton Inns, there's a small convenience shop near the front desk. Breakfast, buffet-style, is complementary for all guests. There are restaurants and gas stations close by.
