image We were helped by a very nice lady. I cant recall her name at the moment but she had a few piercings and a flower above her lip. Shes was extremely nice and funny.
She was very interactive with us as guest. She made our experience at journeys the best. Thank you!!!

image I have been in the store several times over the past few weeks, and was never greeted or even offered service.
Today I was in the store, and the store had an overwhelming odor of marijuana. The associate with a lot of facial piercings looked as though she was very hunder the influence of marijuana.
I tried to look around in the store but the smell was making me nauseous so I had to leave the store. I probably will not be returning to the store because I just cant tolerate the odor of marijuana

image Wish I could still love this store. I've had amazing experiences in the past, so at the beginning of this summer when I was thinking about purchasing the new Doc Martins sandals, of course this is where I go. I tried them on, and they seemed comfortable but I was still a bit hesitant about getting them due to hearing that they are uncomfortable to wear for longer than 30 minutes. The girl that helped me was understanding, and said that if anything happened, they ended up not fitting just right, or were uncomfortable after wearing for a while that I could return them for up to a year. I thought this was great! I wore them 3 times.
The first two, it was only about 70 degrees outside and they felt great. But the third day it was very hot, mid 90s, and I couldn't last 15 minutes without blistering like crazy. I decided I needed to take them back. Barely worn, no stains, possibly a rub or two on the bottom from walking Downtown Dells on the sidewalks. I come in and explain the situation, with the shoes in box with all tags and the receipt, and she snarkily tells me that they're damaged and I can't return them in this condition. I can't even begin to explain how her tone was just dripping with annoyance and no desire to be helpful.
I was extremely confused. I explained what my salesperson had told me, and she took a quick look at the receipt and said she was the person that sold them to me, and that she wouldn't have said that. She proceeded to say that if that's what I remember her saying, then they can take them back this once, but it won't be happening again. I explained to her that this store has been amazing in the past, with being able to return LIGHTLY worn shoes after them not being a right fit. She tells me that she's the manager, and that previous management was extremely unethical and wasn't supposed to be doing that. Was very excited to have a great go to shoe store with amazing staff and great discounts, but sadly not the case.

image Store manager on 9/3/23 was rude and condescending, and very possibly dishonest as well.
What started out as a disagreement about store policy in regards to charging full price for clearly used merchandise that had handling/use marks from being the display pair of expensive shoes, quickly escalated into bad attitude, tone, sarcasm, and her sarcastically YELLING to us as we exited the store, in front of a store full of customers on a holiday weekend.
In regards to honesty, I find it difficult to believe that each of the 4 people looking at different items ALL happened to be looking at the last one available in that size, so you might wanna grab it! Thats called a scarcity close in sales, and its usually dishonest.
Look, I understand how difficult it is to hire and retain people these days, but this gal was an embarrassment to the store location and Journeys brand. As a high-earning father of 4 kids still at home (and prime ages for the Journeys market), we wont be back, and will be spreading the word to others, organically and on social.
