    It's June 3, 2020. I just called TD Ameritrade to try to get customer service - my Green Bay branch is closed due to covid fear in contravention of the Brown County no more restrictions status, with no indication from TDA of when their unjustified fear will subside enough to open the branch. The recording says a 50 minute hold and blames the flu situation for the under-staffing of the customer service lines. That's lousy customer service. Now here's what I wrote a couple months ago when the custoemr ervice was also lousy- As I sit here typing this I have been on hold for one hour (edit: now two hours and still holding) (edit: after holding for 2 hours and 8 minutes it disconnectted the line what a disservice, earlier today the rep that could not do the work assured me folks would be answering the phones if I called tonight) trying to get through to TD Ameritrade main customer service number (not the local branch, which is closed). This is required to open an IRA, the local branch cannot do that (why not?). And I'm still holding, with the occasional automated TDA message that my business is important to TDA. That message does not get the job done, it's mere talk. I'd say this process is most inefficient, unproductive, and unprofessional with respect to letting customers get through to a person. And earlier today a TDA rep assured me I'd be able to get through to a rep if I called after hours today. Wrong. A fundamental and big lapse by TDA. Way to go (NOT) TDA!
