Gave a total stranger a ride from Oshkosh to pillars because they could help her with a place to stay. She came here from Montana because of a online relationship that went south and she was kicked out with no money and no place to stay and no place to help her here in Oshkosh. Took her there only to have the intake staff turn her away!!! Not because they didn't have the room but because she wanted to get back home to Montana but her family said they couldn't help until Wednesday. WOULDN'T help this person so I flipped the bill on a hotel room for her till Wednesday and gave her some money for food till then. Cause I'm a decent human being and it's Christmas for God's sake people! Wow. I hope her family comes through for her cause come Wednesday at 11am she's back on the streets. Wouldn't help her not because they couldn't but because she didn't want to remain in Appleton. They only would help if she wanted to stay and get a job etc. What if that's what she ends up needing to do to get the money together to get back home herself??? Very disappointed. Think it's very sad.

Some of the staff here is very rude. Some of the staff nice .just got to be careful. They kicked me out and falsely accused me of hitting my child. when I never did. in the middle of winter and now my kid is sick because of them.
if you do choose the shelter to go. Stay on your toes if you have kids .because sooner or later they will kick out . Are there come up with a reason saying you're not saving money.
