I worked here, this Sanoco, Three Springs Dr. Weirton WV! The Co-workers there were great! Compared to the jobs in my past. I was with actual adult like attitude co-workers! Couldn't complain at all! Joy, was the manager at that time. I had the shift, hours, pay & everything that I did want! I'm not there any longer, I'm so disappointed! I would do anything to have that chance back! I wouldn't of done anything to jeopardize this job, yet I lost it! Most jobs/places of employment, you go to, do your job, and just wait for that day to end & wait for the very next day to start & go do that routine over again! You have too do what's necessary for a paycheck! I never felt that way, here (Sunoco)! I was happy to go there everyday! Midnight's were harder to get use to, I'm thinking with age, (mine), but with that said, I can say not 1 day did I ever regret being scheduled to go in! I actually think I enjoyed going everyday! Not normal for myself! Just getting dressed knowing it was for work before here, was not an enjoyable time! Midnight is the position I wanted & I was hired for that! I'm not there no more! This was/had to be the biggest missunderstanding ever! Started because I was feeling ill , out of nowhere 1 day! I didn't see anything else to do but report off! (Never tried doing that ever) Can't explain it any other way! 1st call off there, also! I wasn't able to do anything & was getting sick over & over! Joy(the manager) then said herself, she would take me off the schedule for the rest of that week (had it covered)! I didn't at that time realize that she was thinking I had COVID! I called when I felt better, that was the next day, and explained that I just had a kind of stomach bug only, I was hoping I could return to work by my weekend again! Usually, they take you off schedules for COVID, at least 5 days. Well, there it was, a NO CALL, NO SHOW 3 days! I never thought anyone should get that 3 days of that rule! 1 day of not showing up to work, and not even calling, so they would know, to me would warrant a TERMINATION! But that's what I was terminated for! Couldn't of just happened! I was just so confused, saying anything I could, but did not change! If not a missunderstanding, only 1 other reason! (Keep to myself) I am/will keep hoping, someday soon, please, I will get the chance to return! This world is total disappointments, seems like, if not with employment it's with something else! Getting back into Sanoco, would be 1 thing at least though, that I did enjoy & I could be happy again, at least with where you have to be everyday for a paycheck! Enjoying that, well to me, is #1! If you can be happy with your job, that's a big key factor, you then try hard to do what's expected and over that & also do 100% + more! Win Win! . I'M BACK!!! (Update). Well, 1 of my Co-Workers, at the time I was working with BFS & manager Joy, Sherry Hootman, has become the Manager now! Karma, IT really did work after all! JOY was also out of BFS, not long after! Also Fired, I wouldn't give the reason like that, but she fired me & look, she was also! I can say though, She lost more than me! Sorry Joy! Well, the new manager was so caring & thoughtful! I think she knew it was not right the way I was let go, I reapplied after i found out she was in charge, and she didn't hesitate at all (I'm pretty sure) & did give me the second chance I really hoped for & wanted so bad)! It's been 9months months now, and if it goes my way, it will be for a lot of years still! I am working again, & still not hating the idea of going! That's what everyone would want!
