I still cherish this beautiful acoustic guitar I played here for the very first time. I sat down with it and just knew it felt right like it was what I needed for the sound I was going for. I still take great care of it to this day. Gorbys also installed a strap button on it, as it just came with one for some reason. Now I have a DiMarzio quick release locking strap installed to take it around with me anywhere, anytime! I just love it! The staff at Gorbys are very helpful, generous, and caring for peoples questions and needs. They do good work. Take your instruments here, not pied piper! Pied Piper is the bastion of broken dreams and failed promises. They dont possess very genuine or business friendly attitudes, and its always a competition of upselling each other to make the commission. They dont treat novice and beginner musicians any better, they will try and take your inquiries serious only to the dollar amount; and they will probably not take you seriously if you get all goo-goo-eyed over a nice instrument. They dont take young people seriously as they usually think or wrongly assume you are too broke or still not good enough to buy their gear. They are kind of snobby. They also absolutely hate restringing Floyd Rose bridge electric guitars, especially that guy David, he complained the entire time he reluctantly did restring my guitar the first time I had to learn how to restring it. It was done really quickly and I was not happy with his attitude so I didnt even bother watching him perform the string replacement so I just learned online and on YouTube, another thing I can thank myself (and the internet) for teaching myself.. Go to Gorbys, it is the ONLY correct choice. And they wont try and squeeze you for commission sales or misdirect you, leading you down a spiraling journey of spending more and more money, instead Gorbys will reassure you that your needs are met with precision to customer needs, although usually in very timely fashion, sometimes their work load is cut out for them due to them being top in the area of South Charleston, they will still try and fit you in and give you a good estimated time even if theyre kind of busy. There is a good atmosphere and no hostility, just instruments and good friendly people! Go tell them I sent ya! :)
