Family Health Associates

My entire family are patients at Family Health Associates. The staff are friendly, patient, organized, and polite. Dr. DeTemple and her PAs have always treated me with respect, and take the time to listen to my concerns. The facility is clean and inviting. I cannot thank her enough for being a part of my journey to optimal health. I always recommend her practice to friends, co-workers, and extended family members.

My Doctor, Dr. Elswick, has been has been impeccable in the treatment of all my health issues. She is always a step ahead in treating all my health issues that if I need any referrals and getting procedures approved even before I have asked her to. In my current health issue, that I am terrified of, I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate and respect Dr. Elswick and wish to thank her for her patience with me. Family Health Associates are the best PCP practice I have ever gone to. They are on top of getting what Healthcare and referrals needed for their patients. I have seen every professional in the practice but Dr. DeTemple and I have received the uttermost care. I highly recommend this practice.

I loved going to this practice. I have went for over 10 years. I go in today for a scheduled appointment and they wont let me see the doctor unless I pay half of my balance that no one told me about when I called to schedule the appointment. The staff at the front desk for years have not asked for a copay. I am assuming they added up and now I was being punished because the front office staff didnt collect money like they are supposed to. I was prepared to by an amount but they wouldnt take it because it wasnt half the amount that was due. I asked why someone couldnt tell me this before I took off work to come to the appointment. The girl at the front desk said that the billing manager looks at the patients for the next day and flags then so the receptionist will know they have to pay when they come in or they wont get seen. I pointed out that this was a poor practice and the reason they were doing that was so they can only take the patients that have a large income because those were the only people that could pay a bill on the fly without any notice. The office manager would not come and talk to me. I asked who owned the practice and they said it was Dr. Detemple and she was the one that put the policy in place. I hope she is able to see this because I wasnt able to talk to her either.
