        A beautiful house owned by a gracious innkeeper in a beautiful town! We'll definitely be back, you should book a stay too.

        We stayed for a night on a long trip. The b and b was really a nice respite, plenty toasty warn in the room. The breakfast was cooked fresh, with more choices of coffee beans than any other. Too many choices for me, but I'm a coffee amateur. The large bedroom had lots of space, including a cot for our daughter. Our only wish was a shorter distance from the interstate, but if you like winding narrow roads at night in the rain, it's a driving test you'll appreciate. Kathleen was a very chatty host, and we got to swap industry stories with her before we had to leave. We wish her lots of luck in her business and music making endeavors. Thanks again for warm hospitality. Food & drinks: Homemade venison sausage was unique, and fresh bread for us was warm out of the oven. To go coffee kept me going for hours.

        Kathleen goes above and beyond in everything and is the epitome of the perfect B&B hostess. She helped with planning our trip before our arrival including suggestions for other great places to stay. Our room was cozy and comfy and had everything we needed. Her daughter's homemade fragrance free soap was wonderful and I used it frequently on the rest of our trip. The breakfast was delicious and I had Dragon Fruit for the first time. The coffee was among the best I have ever had. Would love to come back for a longer stay.

        I booked this Bed & Breakfast as a surprise for my husbands birthday. We are pretty local to the area but wanted to experience something different. When we arrived Ms. Kathleen had baked a cake for my husband and had it in our room! Such attention to detail. We really enjoyed our stay! Lovely home with charm. We felt right at home. The breakfast was AMAZING!! The coffee was AMAZING as well! Thank you so much for hosting us! We will be back :) Noteworthy details: Attention to details and celebrating my husband with a cake!

      Thank you for taking the time to review and for liking us. Unfortunately, I can do nothing about the location but I DO appreciate you working with me re arrival time (it was a great rehearsal - the Concert for that Community Band is Dec 17; my Tuesday rehearsal Community Band plays after our Parade Dec 2, and then will repeat at the Robinson Grand Theater in Clarksburg, WV Dec. 10). Come is the summer daylight, it is a lovely curvy road during the day (a bit more challenging for flatlanders in the dark).It was a joy to meet your family and exchange ideas about Bed & Breakfasts. The Buffalo Harmony House will be on my bucket list when I get to Buffalo, New York.

      Cody, it was a joy to be part of your husband's birthday celebration. We are blessed with such wonderful and happy guests such as yourselves. Your choice of coffee (Bali Blue Moon - so there are 27 countries more to try) and meat (I enjoy making the maple venison sausage with sage from our yard) were a pleasure. Call for a tour of the Shinn Log House & bring the kids. We have a special treat for the family to enjoy.
