Westbrook Health Services

WB isn't terrible. Some of the staff are very sweet, helpful, and compassionate. That being said, there are issues. Communication and miscommunication issues. My counselor wasn't informed I was being placed into a facility. Some lying (or miscommunication) about various things. Privacy violation: some gossip about clients. It's a mixed bag, but a couple bad apples can ruin the entire bag.

First off I'd like to mention that my daughter has ADHD they didn't want to prescribe her medicine it's been 3 months they should have told me this before I wasted my time I had to go to Worthington to get medicine because they couldn't help my child and also I go to therapy there they kept mentioning me that my fiance needed to take their parenting classes they are quite ridiculous and they can't even help my child.

Would not recommend this place. My Two children have been off their medications for almost a month and a half because of their incompetence. They will try to cover their own tracks by lying. Got a call from them saying that the kids meds were filled and went to the pharmacy to pick them up and sure enough, they were NOT filled due to their lying and incompetence, then I had to call there again and the Nurse tried to cover her own lying tracks by calling the pharmacy back and sending through what the pharmacy needed to fill them in the first place!! LIAR-BROOK is what I call them now!!

I use to go to Westbrook health services for years. I attended there cft program also as well as received counseling. The cft department was satisfactory for a while but the director of the cft dept was not keeping anything I had spoken about another individual I was having issues with confidential. She, the director, had been breaking my trust for years right under my nose and I didn't learn this until it was way too late. I also attended the poker game days that we had and that was lots of fun. We didn't gamble, just had fun. The individual running the poker table was amazing and he was very professional in all that I saw and heard from him. My counselor was nice as well. I was briefly in there residential program and the individual over there 36th st group home was not professional in the slightest. When I was suicidal as I was often, she refused to allow me to call 911 or go to the hospital. She ruled with an iron fist and was threaten to kick me out if I were to call 911 on my own behalf. She said I could go to the crisis unit but I had been a few times in the past and it had done no good and I didn't feel safe in the crisis unit because it was not a locked facility. Years later I tried to report her to Westbrook and they said it was too late after they did their so called internal investigation. She also didn't allow other individuals to go to the hospital either. She needs removed from authority. The crisis team at Westbrook was very helpful. I spoke with a few crisis workers from time to time but I mainly worked with one and I found her to be very understanding. So all in all so e staff are amazing at Westbrook but some are not worth the pay they give them. I am doing my best to not name anyone specific but if you are reading this and you remember me, then I'm sure you know who you are rather seen in a positive light or not. Be very cautious when you go to this place because you just never know who you can trust
