Casual Uncluttering LLC

Lauren has been great helping us get our home into shape. I've especially appreciated her ability to explain the concepts to our 12-year old who struggles with time management and organizational skills. We were reluctant to let anyone into our home but Lauren comes in with no judgment and quickly put our minds at ease.

I have committed every Tuesday afternoon to sessions with Laura. It is money well spent. I have been in the same house since my early 20's and need to move out for the remodel. At 57 -- that is a lot of accumulation that I never had to deal with! Without Lauren, I had no momentum. With Lauren, just last week, we finished packing up 16(!) boxes of stuff in just over two hours. She never rushes, judges or questions what I want to do. Lauren brings a process that seems to evolve to my personality and needs every time we get together. My husband could not imagine bringing Lauren in, at first, and is now completely on board. The whole house feels and looks better after every session.

Lauren was so helpful with two challenging home projects -my garage and a basement storage room. With her help I was able to sort through loads of boxes, unused items, tools, and generally, stuff I should have said goodbye to years ago but wasnt quite ready. Lauren has a great style combining focus, productivity, empathy, and humor. She made me feel that she was on my team, rather than prodding me to make decisions. With her help, the burden of decluttering was considerably lighter, and much more fun. Lauren has lots of good ideas about organization and storage. She is knowledgeable about local resources for donating or selling items. Casual Uncluttering gets my vote for great ethics, results, and even inspiration. Thanks Lauren.

When I retired, I told everyone I was going to "clean my house," starting with my office, and in my office, particularly my desk. Even after spending lots of time organizing this and that on it, I still had one corner that had not seen the light of day for a decade. Lauren spent three hours with me clearing that corner. Her next meeting with me, we worked on clearing out boxes on the floor. For three hours, we got to the bottom of containers that I had put in the office on the floor "temporarily," but ended up being there for about five years. Again, after clearing a few things out of them now and then, I could not get to the bottom. Those containers are now gone. Lauren does not just help to get things organized, she teaches a clearing process in a caring, compassionate way. For a long time, I have had nightmares about trying to clean my office, feeling anxious about the fact that I was failing in that regard. I have miles to go, but I can keep working on it, and I know that if I get stuck, I can always call her for help. Lauren is fun to work with, knows when to be "tough" and when to be gentle. For anyone who suffers from the cluttering syndrome, I highly recommend her. She will help you get unstuck and leave you feeling good about yourself. Margaret Comstock

Lauren is kind and informed, systematic and flexible, supportive and empowering, dependable and a joy to work with. She got me through my stuck places and solidly on the road to uncluttering, cleansing and clearing. I've been able to take many steps, sort and recycle/toss/hand off many things. I'm ready in time for my party! Next I'm ready for what I already heard bits of - her great suggestions for elegantly and efficiently storing what I've decided to keep in my space. I STRONGLY recommend her. The first bit is even free!!
