DISHONEST CROOKS: USAA insurance customers need to refuse these THIEVES; we caught them double billing us and our insurance for over $5,000; we had to shut down our renovation until we could bring in the USAA regional auditor who found gross violations; ultimately they were suspended by the insurance company and had to settle with us for over $7,000 - but not until we had to impound insurance payment checks and fire at least a dozen corrupt, incompetent, or inept subcontractors. Hanson hires the cheapest subs and then gouges them with the referral fee so badly that the subcontractors have no loyalty to the project and actually do substandard work to get even with Hanson - but they are actually hurting the USAA members. The full report on this is on file with the USAA President's office, and we encourage everyone to check with USAA about this incident. Corrupt. Dishonest. Incompetent. OBTW: USAA allows homeowners to bring in their own contractors, bypassing the main contractor anytime there are such issues. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE !!!!!!!! Do NOT do business with ELLEN HANSON - she knows exactly what her corrupt employees are doing and she sanctions all of the illegal nonsense.

The work was done. Handed the insurance checks over to Hanson Construction. HANSON CONSTRUCTION CASHED THE INSURANCE CHECKS AND NEVER PAYED Macadam Flooring and Design in Portland, Or. HANSON CONSTRUCTION TOLD ME TO TO GO PICK OUT MY CARPET/ FLOORING THERE. Since Macadam flooring did not get payed they are now putting a lien on our house for the amount owing from the carpet/flooring. I called Macadam flooring and found out I'm not the only customer of Hanson Construction that this is happening to. Macadam flooring said they had billed Hanson Construction at least 10 times for the money owing. I HAVE HEARD HANSON CONSTRUCTION IS GOING OUT OF BUSINESS!!! THANK YOU ELLEN HANSON YOU CROOK....

Hanson Construction is an established company in the community and has been helping people with their water/fire and wind related disasters, and restoring homes to pre-loss condition for 20+ years. They are available 24/7 and they work with your insurance company so you don't have to! They do the WHOLE job!! They take it out AND put it back in!! It's ALWAYS better to have a one stop shop!!

While Sean Hanson talks up a storm on the phone and sounds professional and competent, his firm tore up a room in our house to trace a leak before receiving permission from our insurance company. They then left it for over a month while we tried to sort out who was going to pay to put it back together. During that time Sean rarely deigned to return phone calls.
