A Fish Named Taco

Very casual taco spot loved that they played music from Mexico. Food was fabulous, owner was nice.

I arrived on a rainy cold PNW day at 11:58 am and 30 seconds, exactly 90 seconds before they open. The door was open, so I walked inside and waited by the front door. 10 to 15 seconds later, a person came out from the back and curtly asked if she could help me. I mentioned that I knew I was there early and asked if I could I just stand inside for 90 seconds until they opened. She said no and asked me to leave. I am in the area a lot and will not return.

The food is good and a nice option to have locally. But there are some annoyances that they should address. The latest is that their posted hours are not actually their open times. They are closed "for break" in mid-afternoon. I drove over to get a burrito around 3pm to find a sign that said closed for break, back at 4:30. Frustrating and easily fixed to avoid wasted trips. The other strange detail is that you get your choice of beans in burritos but if you ask for a little of both they say no. I am not looking for extra anything, just a mix. We're talking about spooning on beans, not the kind of request even fast food places like chipotle or Qdoba would reject, let alone a place asking for service tips on a takeout order. Not sure food really makes up for lack of basic customer service gaps.

This was my first time trying A Fish Named Taco and I will most definitely be back again. I am visiting from Los Angeles and I truly believe this is better than most of the seafood tacos Ive had down there. This fish was fresh, the Cameron taco was amazing! Thanks and Ill be back before my trip is over. Highly recommend!
