Ive lived at Truewood for 10 months. I find the employees helpful and friendly. My apartment is the perfect size for me and I love having my own washer and dryer along with loads of storage. The food here is delicious and nutritious. There are so many activities, I have a hard time deciding which ones to take part in. I have lived at other retirement communities and find Truewood the most comfortable & homey. This is truly the best move Ive ever made.

Horrible experience. I was forced to move in 2 days. The management doesnt care except for the grievance filed. They dont care about what the residents or staff say.I accidentally angered another resident. As a result she would file false accusations. It seems the grievance fillers have more rights than the resident. The staff sucks and so does the management especially the GM.

My family was a part of the Bedford community for many years until a couple of months ago.
This Senior Living community was absolutely wonderful up until the latest management.
This new management does not make personal connections or create a warm and positive environment.
It use to be a place everyone could call the whole buildinga home - not just inside their apartment.
Old management (s) genuinely cared about the residents, listened, embraced and honored the residents stories and were like family. A high level of management and a high level of compassion and kindness towards the residents in a chapter of their lives that can be hard with change and vulnerability. Bottom line there was respect.
Current management- they manage with no compassion.
Chef and meals are not up to par. Not many choices for elderly who may need different diets. It appeared if you did want something different or did not come to meals on time it was inconvenient for the chef. Again compassion for our elderly as they navigate issues in their later years would be nice.
As for the residents. They were lovely, friendly, accepting. Our family enjoyed getting to know so many beautiful people who had so many wonderful stories to share. We wish them love and kindness.

The staff and management we met were excellent. Warm, friendly and very welcoming. The grounds are nice. The price is reasonable. Our only concern is with only 1 restaurant meal choices may be limited unless the kitchen doesnt get in a rut and serve the same thing month after month.
