I have older children that attended this center 5+ years ago and had a great experience. However recently, when enrolling my youngest (3yo) my experience was not great. When I dropped off my toddler, the teachers were often in bad moods and appeared overwhelmed. I wanted to provide photos of my childs family to have on the wall to make her feel more comfortable. I emailed them in November-December, and after asking multiple staff why they were never posted by mid January I was told the director was very forgetful. The last straw was when my child had a dental appointment at 10am and I was told she was not able to attend since she wouldnt be dropped off until 11:15am. After asking other parents, I found that every parent was not being upheld to this standard. Its clear this center gives privilege to those they favor but if youre not one of the chosen, you may be met with unfair standards and discrimination.

Best daycare you could ask for! They really love the kids here! Everyday they do education fun projects with the kids and send you picture updates of what your little is up to. The staff are friendly and truly care about their families! I would highly recommend this daycare to any of my friends and family! My daughter has been going her almost two years now!

TL;DR great infant class teachers, NOT great for toddlers with special needs or developmental delays. I was initially very happy with the care my child was receiving as a 1 year old with Katelin and Katie. They treated my daughter wonderfully. As soon as she got moved up to the next class (with Lisa) we noticed a major regression and eventually had to remove her from the daycare center. The staff is not trained to handle children with special needs. There were multiple occasions that I came in to pick up my daughter and there would be a child on time out on a chair behind the front desk person. Later found out they did that with my daughter who could not have even comprehended why she was being pulled from her class and singled out for behaviors which they kept deeming age appropriate. My daughter has needed lots of speech and occupational therapy to try to catch up this past year. I wish that they would have been up front about not being equipped to recognize abnormal behaviors or foster a healthy environment for toddlers that may be delayed. Also, some of the 5 star reviews are from staff including McKayla and Sheila who is the director which is honestly a conflict of interest.

So I glad I chose this daycare for my son. He loves the staff they are always welcoming and nice. Also, they always send me updates through out the day. If I could give them a million stars I would. Everyone has always treated my son like family and they keep the children very busy through out the day.

We love Mill Plain Childrens Academy! Our daughter has been attending this school since we moved to Vancouver in July 2023 when she was 16 months old so she has started in the lowest class and recently moved up to the next level. It took her about a week to adjust, but now our daughter absolutely loves it. All of the toddler teachers are kind and caring and full of hugs and energy. We get lots of pictures of the kids eating, playing and doing art or other activities every day and her teachers keep us updated on how her day went. All in all, this is a great school and wed highly recommend for littles in need of a day care!
