I would give Thrive Collections Services negative stars if possible. They attempted to collected money I was owed without my approval, expecting 15% commission and, in the process, ruining my relationship with my client. I was working with my colleagues to collect owed monies on mutually agreeable terms. Thanks to Thrive Collections and their shady practices, the agreement has been complicated exponentially. They collect via "checks over the phone," intimidate folks into forking over bank information, and use other untoward practices to collect money that they were not even hired to pursue. Thrive Collection Services is a scam, user beware.

Wow, this company is one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever dealt with. There is a woman named Heidi who works there who uses threats and bullying tactics to try and scare individuals who have been turned into collections. In my husbands case she threatened having the police get involved the very day she called and threatened him that they were going to send him to jail. In addition to this being highly illegal according the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. My husband had this woman on speaker phone while he spoke to her and she was literally yelling at him over the phone and also refused to send any documentation regarding the amount he owed to Central Milling (he was involved in a bad business deal with his farm; but that is an entire other story). When my husband stated that he would like some time to consult with his lawyer she refused him the time and right to do that and asked for the direct number of his lawyer and her name stating that she would call them instead. Heidi never returned her call after giving her our attorney's information (I do not believe she thought we actually had one on retainer). We ended up calling the company who the money is owed to and are working directly with them to solve this issue. Let me tell you, this company is so unprofessional that you will think they are fraudulent and not an actual company. The woman who we dealt with (Heidi) clearly has some mental instability. If you are a company thinking of using them, do yourself a favor and DON'T!
