I have a fear of the dentist - which I know is silly in my mid 30s. My experience with Willamette dental helped me get over my fear. My 8 year old daughter was finally able to complete a full cleaning due to the patience and care provided by Anna. I am so thankful for the care we received and would highly recommend Willamette in Tumwater to anyone who will listen. Thank you!!

If i could give 0 or negative stars, I would. DONT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY HEALTH CONDITIONS,THEY WONT WORK WITH YOU. Due to their avoidant and almost negligent lack of action to remove two of my husbands teeth in late april of 2023, because he is Diabetic he now has to have ALL of his teeth removed. Both his endocrin team and his new dentist have cited and noted that if the doctors at Willamette would have handled this properly with urgency we wouldn't be looking at the 8k dollar bill to have all of his teeth removed and purchasing dentures but here we are. Willamette first told my husband due to his A1C being over 9 (duh he is battling an infection, of course his A1C is hard to control), he would need his endocrinologist to sign off on the procedure to remove the two teeth. Wonderful he had an endocrin appt later that afternoon and he signed off on it noting that, with the teeth and the cause for the recurrent infection removed, his A1C would be easier to control, and get into range. Well then Willamettes story changed. They said REGARDLESS of his endocrinologists opinion, the risk of him bleeding out was too high and too much of a liability. So my husband worked to lower his A1C tirelessly and in constant pain. He did lower it but still not within those parameters of being under 9. We finally got him into a new dentist office 6 months later. This dentist commented how sad it was, that if Willamette wouldve just removed those teeth we wouldn't be having the conversation we are now, that all of his teeth now have to be removed because the infection has spread throughout all of his teeth, and that his a1c is the least of his concern compared to potentially going septic. Of course we are worried thinking of the potential risk of him "bleeding out". To our surprise both his endocrin team and the new dentist office corrected this statement. Explaining that its not really the risk of him bleeding out, but that he may take longer to heal and maybe more prone to infection during this time, which would've been much easier to mitigate if it wouldve just been the two removed then, vs ALL of them now. Thank you Willamette for nothing but struggle and strife. I hope you all are proud of yourselves.
