After our daughter was diagnosed with autism, we were directed to a program called "Child Find". They helped us get our baby in a autism program that fit all of her needs! It was at Franklin Elementary we found our perfect fit! We found out in December 2013, by April 2014 she was in preschool! I was amazed, and relieved to find that she had a classroom just for her! With children just like her! She has 3 teachers, 3 school mates daily. A speach/occupational therapist 2× a week. Learning about a IEP was easy! My daughter blossomed! She is now 7 years old, and going to K2 come fall (2nd grade)! She was non-verbal, shy, and, stayed to herself. My daughter now, can count up to 30, knows her shapes and colors, sings, dances, and has friends! I would encourage any parent that has reservations about the care, and, safety of our special babies, to look into what Franklin has to offer. You won't be disappointed! Before they start the day out, they say a pledge, that they will be the best person they can be for the day. Getting them in a great head space. You also can do pop-ups, to see what's going on in class! The staff is amazing, and they make sure your voices are heard! I love this school! You won't be in the dark about your child's day. They make sure you know how their day went, as well as give out awards, for being: A great learner, Responsible, Respectable, being a Good helper, and more! They are treated like any other child. I could go on, and, on about how much I adore Franklin, but I've said a lot already. It's a true blessing!
