North Tacoma Montessori Center - Achievement

Giving my newborn to strangers was the hardest thing Ive had to do. But the staff made me so comfortable and love my daughter so much. It has been a great experience and feel like I have family watching her everyday. You can tell they all really care and love what they do. Its been a blessing to find them and cant imagine her going anywhere else.

Honestly the vibe here sucked. The owner just topped it off for me rude and harsh woman. Probably no surprise no one that works for her seems very happy... I had my daughter here for less then 2 weeks diapers/feedings recorded and the main lady in the infant center was the best of this place. Everything else seems gloomy and nobody smiles or seems interactive with the kids. Every time I went in there was a child crying the owner really called me to say my daughter couldn't return because of my social media post which simply stated my interaction with her. I'm entitled to my opinion where I simply state facts of what happened. Anyway bummer it's such a great location!

We started up at this daycare when my son was 1.5 years old. He is now 6. I was extremely impressed with the level of education he received. When my son finally started up Kindergarten, he was considered advanced due to the attention he received. Their summer camp program is a lot of fun for the older kids. They have an event set up at the location or they are out traveling to different locations (parks, restaurants ect). I originally had my kids set up for summer camp through their elementary school, but quickly found out that Acheivement Center had a better set up. It was worth the extra traveling time to have them set up here (we live in puyallup but I work in Tacoma)Acheivement center really is a great set up. Every employee greets the children and acknowledges them, even if they are just walking by. My twins, who are currently 1.5 years old are also lucky enough to attend here and have grown so much socially since starting. I really can't say enough about this place. It has become my children's home away from home.

I'm going to say this... The first thing I noticed about this place is it smelled better than the former place we we had our son at. The care and attention here seems a little better and the staff are seem less stressed and more attentive too. So to sum this review up: If you're looking for a clean, safe, friendly environment for your kids to blossom and grow and live near by then this is a good place to check out. They've been in business since 1976 and the current owner started here in 1985 and you can be assured your child is in good hands.My review would be a 5 star review accept: Due to having not having AC I was forced to take time off from work early on a few of the hot days to pickup my kid. I also got no such compensation on my bill for having to do such.My other little annoyance with the facility itself is the parking, the spots aren't marked and people just park all over the driveway like idiots at times which makes it very difficult to safely get in and out.
