Took my Suzuki DT140 and 9.9 Yamaha kicker here for general service. The staff was scared to touch the large motor (they are yamaha dealers and turned their nose up at my Suzuki) and quoted a carb replacement which conveniently was a part that doesn't exist. I ended up repairing both motors for thousands of $ less than what they quoted me. Not sure if it is a west coast thing but staff is either lazy or uneducated.

My old outboard self-destructed 10 days before the Coho Derby. The owner, Bruce, talked me through my problem and without any pressure, advised me to replace the motor. I was offered very competitive pricing and he and his staff were able to repower my boat, get it back on the water, and fit it with the perfect prop a couple days before the event. My thanks to all of them for enabling me to catch a winning fish. I highly recommend Camano Marine.

Sent in a Mercury 125 in to have the engine gone over, and carburetors tuned since it was running rough. 2+ weeks later, my father picked up the boat to launch it for crab season. After launching and starting for the first time, the engine shook violently, struggled to maintain idle, and died transitioning to Fwd/Rev. As a mechanic, I inspected the engine and found both of the upper carbs fuel mixture screws completely backed out and 2 fuel leaks from new gaskets. Tightened things down and spent the next 4 hours (on vacation) tuning the engine I had just spent $2,000+ to get tuned up. The bill statement said it had been tested in a water barrel, but that was obviously a lie as it wouldn't idle to save its life, which would have been noticed immediately. All my neighbors have had similar experiences and are taking their boats elsewhere to get work done.
