Latah Creek Animal Hospital

Recently we had two new kittens spayed and neutered on the same day at Latah Creek Veterinary Hospital. It was one of the best vet experiences Ive ever had. They care for your pets like theyre their own and make sure your pet is comfortable before they even approach them. I also appreciate that they are fully transparent about your pets health, the care they are providing, the cost and even share details about the ins and outs of the procedures. I am learning so much more about how to better care for my pets because they willingly share information and keep me informed. I even got pictures of my kittens after surgery, so I knew right away they were both doing great!!

Challenge accepted...Explain to me how two PROFESSIONALS can corner someone in a small room and demand answers about a review they left on Google? You just lost a TWENTY-FIVE year customer, and many more, as I and everyone else I know will be going elsewhere. Your response to the customer was nothing but deflection and to charge approximately SEVEN hundred for basic a cat neuter is nothing less than robbery (I know because I worked in a vet clinic for 12 years). Your attitude, your unprofessionalism, and your ILLEGAL detainment of my friend have been noted and I will urge everyone I know to go elsewhere. Don't bother looking up my name, I left long ago when I found you were charging twice as much as the veterinarians in town.

I am honestly very sorry to write this review. I have been going to this vet clinic since I moved here 25 years ago. They have treated all my animals and have always been great. While I know that they are more expensive than a lot of other vets in town, I was willing to pay because I trust them with animals, but yesterday a nurse called to give me a quote to get my dog and cat neutered. I was quoted $1100 for a 6 year old, less than 20 pound pug and nearly $800 for a 10 pound, year and a half cat. For neutering. I was in shock. I had a c-section and spay for my pug a few years ago, and that was $1000 and $2000 for the delivery of seven puppies and a spay, and whatever else that went with it. I realize that prices have gone up, but this is unbelievable. For neutering. I was told something about an animal over two being more because they give free anesthesia with the younger animals, but nearly 800 is still shocking. I have had several pets fixed here, and I know I didnt pay anywhere near that kind of money for any of them. I wouldnt have been back. The nurse did suggest Valley Vet for lower cost options, which I appreciate, but I hate to have to switch vets after all these years. Unfortunately, Im afraid that if this is what their neuter prices are like, and since we have multiple pets, we wont be able to afford any of their other services, such as yearly vaccinations. Honestly though, even if I could pay those prices, I wouldnt since I think thats unreasonable. Anyway, they are very good vets and have been great to my animals, so if youre willing to pay, I would recommend them from that perspective. This is so disappointing.
