image Went in to get a tire checked after hitting a pot hole, had it stored in the trunk where my spare usually goes since I had to put my spare on after hitting the pot hole. When they went to get the tire, they thought my subwoofer was carpet and proceeded to yank it out so hard that it pulled out some of the wires for my sound system. They tried to fix it twice but the wires and subwoofer aren't what got damaged. They somehow fried my amp (which is something that wasn't in the way in order to get to the tire) making my sound system unusable and wouldn't help buy a new one. The amp I had was over $300, I am willing to settle for a cheaper one.
It just really sucks to have bad things keep happening to you and your car in one day and a company doesn't take responsibility for a mistake they made, even more so when you are a member. To be fair being a member shouldn't matter, but it's still an extra sting to the situation y'know. Anyways hopefully this is a fair warning for others with a sound system.

image After being a Les Schwab customer for the last 20 plus years, and having a good experience with the company, I am disappointed to report that I will no longer be a customer. We always have gone to Les Schwab for seasonal tire changes and this year we purchased new tires on Amazon. When we went to have them changed, we were told that on top of paying for the seasonal tire change, we would need to pay $100 extra because they are new tires. There is no extra labor involved but because they are not new from Les Schwab we incurred the extra fee.
I wish the manager would have handled the situation differently. She could have split the cost or informed us of the policy and let us know we would be charged in the future - in which case she would have retained us as customers - but instead she said black and white, thats what we needed to pay.
Due to this we drove a mile down the road to Tire-Rama, who got us in immediately (no wait!!) and didnt charge extra because they were new.
I hope someone at Les Schwab sees this and will examine their policies or at a minimum consider how they work with loyal customers.
