My oil is supposed to be collected every 6 weeks. I was told I was wrong and a liar after my oil was not collected for nearly 3 months. Somehow I had 900lbs collected in late April but the following pickup in late may was only 50lbs? Now, in late June I have over 1000lbs sitting in barrels.

This might be the worst example of cooperate citizenship ever. Their refusal to properly operate air pollution scrubbers meant that we lived in the wake of their odor (described as a mix of dead, wet animals and feces) for years. And they are a rendering plant...not a "recycling center". Now, they're going to respond with a "how can we do better?" missive. I'll save you the trouble: shut down.

Hi Brian, I assure you that we operate our facility in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations. Baker prides itself on being a good neighbor to our communities. I have looped in the local General Manager to ensure that any complaints are handled effectively. And yes we are a recycling center. Did you know that Rendering is intrinsically carbon negative? By recycling these byproducts and other foodservice/hospitality wastes we are actually removing carbon and methane from the air we breathe, making our planet more sustainable, more healthy, and ensuring these products stay out of landfill, which is key to our country's sustainability goals. Without companies like Baker, our country's landfills would be full in less than four years! And the amount of greenhouse gasses released into our environment would be astronomical. I would be happy to discuss this further with you at any time, including hearing more about the specific times you are experiencing issues. We do not process animal feces so that should not be an odor we have anywhere on our facility. Please reach out if you'd like to discuss more or be put in touch with our general manager. Thanks for your review and feedback. - Jimmy, [email protected].
