I like that Nurture offers a variety of classes and services for new families. I used their services back in March 2023 when I had my baby. The service I received was okay, but I had a strange billing experience where I was billed for the same appointment twice, one under my name and one under my baby's. They were also filed many months apart even though it was for the same appointment. I was told this was normal for their practice. Also, my second appointment was only billed under my son (I had checked with insurance prior to having a baby that lactation services were covered, but it was specifically for myself not my baby. I had no idea that lactation practices billed under newborns so FYI for anyone who didn't know! Everyone's situation is different though - my diagnosis/feedback was to just practice so it went under my son & again I was told that was normal for this practice). For transparency sake, I did feel like the lactation help I received was more effective at another provider and I did not have the same issues regarding billing. But overall, I'm grateful this location is available to the community and I really loved some of their other services, specifically the 4th trimester postpartum group. Wanted to share in case it helps any other mamas out there!

Kaleena really helped calm my anxieties and gave me so much more helpful information than what I received at the hospital. She helped me figure out how to latch without pain, but also made me feel good about whatever choice I made in how to feed my child. I highly recommend seeing Nurture, specially at the beginning of your breastfeeding journey.

I cannot recommend the Nurture team enough! This was the second Lactation group I saw with my daughter here in Spokane, and Kaleena and Kelsey were absolutely amazing! So supportive and understanding, meeting me where I was in my journey of breastfeeding my baby who struggled with latch due to lip and tongue ties. Mamas, don't waste your time anywhere else if you need help breastfeeding!

I am so thankful for Nurture Lactation. Nurture was not around when I had my first baby, and being a second-time mama, I still found so much value in going to Nurture. From the second you walk in, you are greeted with a smile and a come-as-you-are attitude where truly everyone is welcome and treated with thorough care and attention. I saw Kaleena and Chelsea for an appointment when my daughter was a week old, and they helped me with latch issues and positioning. Not only that, but they helped put my husband's and my mind at ease. I went back for a second appointment due to poor weight gain for my daughter, and with their help and expertise, we got her back to birth weight within a few days. I can't thank Kaleena and her staff enough for creating this space for mamas, partners, and their babies.
