This is my second positive interaction with FMI. A year ago I contacted FMI about a mini excavator rental quote, and received prompt advice and pricing over the phone. I didnt end up renting one, but because of this first interaction, I contacted them again about buying a Takeuchi Mini excavator. Clayton Kinser ended up helping me and provided prompt quotes on both new and used ones. In the course of a few days, I decided on a used one. Clayton communicated extremely well, and handled all the various logistics to get the equipment serviced and deliver to my site. These are good people!

Purchased new Mahindra 60 HP tractor fall of 2023. Jamie was excellent to work with and made the final sale smooth. Delivery to our house was was a bonus. Only reason for stars is that after the purchase I inquired 3 times about pricing and availability of certain snowplow setups. Never received callbacks on any of the 3 inquiries. Side note: they do not stock snow equipment. Might consider since we live in snow country 4-5 months a year.

TLDR: Very slow, poor communication, not doing what they say they will. 0/5 I've been needing two things; an appraisal for my chipper to have it registered and bearings for my chipper repair. My initial contact with Spokane came after being referred all over the state. Looking for someone to appraise equipment. Finally, I find that Spokane FMI is the "top dog" and will be able to send an appraisal letter. I drove 3.5 hours to ask in person, as phone and email proved to be a waste of time. Steve, a salesman, was actually quite helpful in connecting me to the service manager and president, who while there, said yes to the appraisal. I sent the requested info and photos promptly. Over three weeks later and three follow-ups with the president and still no appraisal. He said, "I sent your photos to one of my guys, he'll send you a letter." Ken, parts, is nice in person, but their system was down at the time. He said he'd call with an update. No call. I called a week later, no answer, no call back. I've spent $3,200+ so far in rentals while waiting for parts. I'm so irritated as this is really affecting my business. I'm a small business, so maybe they don't prioritize us. If the service was even "kinda ok", I would be purchasing a new chipper. Feeling stuck right now and it seems a negative review is the last step in getting something done. Future equipment will likely be purchased at Vermeer or Bandit. Don't waste your time here, cause they will waste yours.
