My daughter has gone to Our Place to Grow since she was 3. Now that she is getting ready to age out of the school age room I want to say that we are very sad to go! I have been felt happy and safe leaving my daughter with every teacher that has watched her all these years and I feel we are saying Goodbye to family. If your family eve needs childcare we recommend that you go see their Director and get on their waitlist!

Tried out a few different centers over the years and always come back to this one. Great environment and facility, nothing but good things to say

I switched from this daycare due to muliple issues I had with the director and my son's teacher. They have a fantastic looking facility, and go the extra mile during holidays. We needed reliable care for our son, and our daugher when we had her; this daycare does not provide that. In 2023 I had to take my two kids to the doctor 20 times, (5 well visits) Most of thess sick visits were prompted by the daycare, saying that my son had various illnesses that he never had. Croupe, hand foot and mouth, pink eye etc. Not including the times he got sent home and they didn't diagnose him with something. He got sent home an additional 4-5 times with fever (and chills) and diarrhea; EVERYTIME he got sent home he didn't have a fever or diarrhea after I got him; JUST IN 2023 ALONE. I work less than 20 mins from the daycare and would pick him up within 30 mins of getting a phone call that he was sick, he was literally never sick when I got him. It was like they were looking for any excuse to send him home. They were diagnosing him with food allergies that I disagreed with. The most aggravating part of this, is that my daughter didn't get sent home sick at nearly the same rate. The last incident that prompted me to finally look elsewhere for childcare was when my son got sent home for pinkeye, they already decided he had it and that he needed antibiotics. They lied and said he was having discharge and was rubbing it. I never saw this, so when I took him in they could only diagnose him with an eye irritation because there was no dischage during his exam. On the same day that I took him out for 'pinkeye'', his sister had BAD diarrhea they never mentioned. She never got sent home even though she probably should have, it just showed how differently my two kids were treated here and how unreliable this day care was. At some point I have to say that the daycare is flat out lying when they are saying he had symptoms that I don't see, fevers don't just go away in 30 mins, I could see if it happed once or twice; especially with diarrhea, but it was very consistent that he never had the symptoms they claimed he had. The director was insistent that my son had a speech delay, I brought up to my pediatrician, and I agreed with him that he didn't really qualify for a speech delay. I told this to the director multiple times. She would never drop it and insisted that we get a screening. So today we had his screening with the Bethel SD, and he does not have a speech delay. They blamed a speech delay for my son's behavior in the classroom. I think he had a very poor teacher, she had no control over him and he got sent home with write up after write up, with no constructive feed back on how to address the behavior other than 'he has a speech delay' now we know that is 100% not true. My son struggled with potty training as well, as soon as he switched he was 100% potty trained in less than a week. I brought up to his teacher that he seemed potty trained at home but he was still having frequent accidents at daycare; but nothing seemed to change. Bonus they will send home your childs BM in a bag, they won't even empty the underpants in the toilet. Absolutely disgusting. My son's teacher told me on multipler occasions that my son would hang on her hand and she would let him drop on the floor because she didn't want to dislocate his shoulder?? I am not sure why she kept dropping him instead of TEACHING him to stop hanging on her hand? This occured occasionally throughout his time in her classroom. I have addressed issues on multiple occasions with the director. It just led to circular conversations that never got anywhere; she would dodge the real issues and just keep repeating herself and never acknowledge what I was actuaully saying. I feel my son was treated poorly. I don't know what the Directors credentials are, but I don't think she has the education to be making the diagnoses that she does, she is a GOOGLE MD. She really seems to lack fundamental knowledge in childhood development. I do not recommend this daycare
