UPDATE: Anthoney is now leaving me messages and calling me a liar. I suggest instead of wasting your time calling former clients - who you havent spoken with in almost half a year - you focus on improving your 3.4 rating. Be better at what you do and maybe former clients wont leave bad reviews detailing your poor performance. While speaking with him on the phone I was called a liar and got multiple F bombs dropped on me. He denied advertising on Google or AVVO or anywhere online even though he has profiles on both sites and others and gets reviews on many sites, albeit bad ones. He pleaded with me to change my reviews. I refused. My reviews stand as an honest account of my experience with this lawyer.

Review: Every penny i spent to the tune of $1000s with Brian Anthoney was wasted money. He failed me every which way possible. When I fired him for failing me he failed - again - to officially release himself as my attorney with the court. My next attorney had to do his job for him and get him officially released. To top it off, 5 months after another lawyer had to do Anthoney's job for him, he sent me a bill for $1100. 5 months later. Huh? What? Out of the blue, 5 months later. So when other reviews claim he isnt exactly on top of it and fails his clients, they couldn't be more correct.

Brian Anthoney lacks intestinal fortitude and allows opposing council to intimidate him. He doesn't have the slightest clue as to how to stand up for his client. He caves every step of the way to the other side.

Brian Anthoney doesn't understand the concept of medical privacy or a client's strong need to maintain it. He has no issue with his client's medical records possibly being made public by including them in public court proceedings.

At one point, he inferred he felt sorry for my exwife. That's when I knew our relationship was coming to an end.

Find another lawyer. These are not the lawyers you're looking for.

After contacting over 20 law firms in Western WA, it was a relief to finally have the opportunity to speak to an Attorney. Despite Mr. Anthoney having limited access to information during my initial consultation, I was pleased with the information and guidance he was able to provide. He was professional, kind and understanding of my simple yet unique situation. Mr. Anthoney did an excellent job with briefly explaining some court processes and walked me through the necessary next steps in regards to my case. If given the opportunity, I would have hired Mr. Anthoney as my legal counsel and looked forward to working with him and his team.

Called for a simple consultation with Brian, as difficult as the beginning process was to even start he made it even more so. Rude and condescending, talked down to me because I was a young woman. Found my situation and circumstances were humorous, he was the first attorney I had unfortunately spoken to about guidance and was extremely let down. Save your time and money and find someone who cares about YOUR arduous life decision.

Brian and his staff have been great through the entire divorce process. I really appreciated how attentive Brian was to my concerns, emails and questions. I would get a response within minutes typically. Overall Sunset family law has been a blessing and highly recommend them for anyone in need of an affordable and professional family attorney. Should the need arise I will definitely choose them again in the future! Thanks again guys!

Brian Anthony was my lawyer over a year divorce case and he has been hands down the worst lawyer I could have ever asked for. I can't imagine anyone worse than him. He literally just took $5,500 and did absolutely nothing to fight for my case at all except answer 58 emails over a year period. The other party got everything, and I mean literally everything. Including full custody, 70% of the equity in the house, spousal support even though she earns 200k+ per year or 2-3 times as much as i do. Also, she got the entire equity of a business of roughly 400k. I personally invested $100k into the business but got nothing out of it. He refused to even request/enforce discovery even when the other party just lied on all the forms about their income and hiding assets, etc. She said she only earned 2k per month but in reality its 14k per month she earns. I can go on for hours about it. Brian could care less about the case because i was just a homeless nobody to him. Once he realized I had no money left, he didn't care and never once stood up for me. I wish I can file a complaint with the bar association. Worst experience of my life.
