Im extremely disappointed with the lack of thoroughness and flippant disregard for our pets health shown by Banfield Ballard.
We took our male cat Lore to Banfield Ballard location in January. He was throwing up and had difficulty peeing. He had been making several trips to the litter box and not producing a lot of urine.
The vet told us maybe hes just weird.
They tried to get a urine sample and werent able to. No x ray was offered to check for stones or obstruction. At the time we didnt know that was an exam we probably should have been offered. We were given a prescription for urinary care food and antibiotics. 6 months later we had to take him to the emergency hospital where they found a large stone in his bladder. The emergency vet was surprised our regular vet didnt take this issue seriously, or offer an X-ray, and made those hes just weird comments to us when we told them about his frequent trips to the litter box. Our cats pain and $8k surgery could have been avoided had they offered us thorough veterinary care and actually cared about our cats health.

Best Banfield I've been to! Even upon the first phone call, the kind person I talked to even held an appt. spot for me when I needed to call back and when I arrived was greeted happily by name. Upon leaving some staff came out to greet my dog, give him a treat and they did this cute little clapping farewell as we were leaving. We felt so special! And Dr. Chang who did the exam was so thorough, took her time to really focus on all aspects of my dog, and I really felt like my pup's health, and our time was important to her because she was really mindful and focused during the exam, as if not wanting to miss anything. Best vet ever!! Here's what I mean by that......some vets at other hospitals will do just a quick look at certain parts of my dog and say how it is. With her though, she was really focused, concentrating and very mindful on his ENTIRE body for the exam not wanting to miss anything. With that mindful focus I can tell she is one who loves her job and I can tell how important animals are to her. The whole experience and all the kind staff makes this place terrific!!!

They do good work but are very expensive if your pet has issues.
