Scott Kranz is a fantastic outdoor photographer and very generous about helping others to improve their photography skills. He is an excellent presenter and received many kudos for his presentation to the Tacoma Garden Club, which includes a number of very capable photographers. His newsletter is excellent and always includes a useful photographic tip. Finally, he is a really nice guy. See for yourself.

I have done two private photography workshops with Scott and I will definitely be doing more! He is a caring and professional teacher with great attention to detail. He puts in the time before each workshop to speak with you and find out what your goals are so you get exactly what you need out of your time with him. During the workshop he is very easy to talk to and makes you feel comfortable so that you are not intimidated to ask any question. I came away from each workshop with invaluable tools to help me progress in my technique. I also came away from each workshop loving my photos, which for me is rare! He is able to help you with the technical aspect of photography if you are a beginner, or help you with composition, post processing, and even the business side. He has so much knowledge to give and it is evident that he has a passion for photography and teaching. I highly recommend doing a workshop with Scott! He is a phenomenal teacher and a genuinely kind human being who will help you take your photography to the next level.

Scott is an extremely talented, knowledgeable and passionate photographer who advocates for the lands he cares so deeply about, as well as inspiring people to get out in them. He also helps other photographers; he helped me get serious about photography as a business by teaching me all the things I would've never known about licensing, business contracts, pitching to clients, etc. Highly recommended!
