I was an inpatient for 10 days. I can not remember all the employees but 2 that stand out are Rod and Samba. Rod kept me smiling and laughing like only a girl dad can. Samba kept me feeling safe when other patients insulted me and made me feel threatened. I would recommend this place to others.

I was admitted into this unit voluntarily to treat severed depression and PTSD. Dr. Larson and the nursing staff were extremely kind, courteous and helpful! I was able to get well and go back home after 10 days. This unit was by far the best and comparison to Overlake (Bellevue) and MultiCare (Auburn). They also offer TMS treatments in the same facility, which can be attended while staying in the behavioral unit. Luckily I did not need to go to this extent.

I was admitted to this facility on an involuntary hold with a diagnosis of Postpartum Psychosis. Prior to my arrival my family was reassured this would be a good fit and the staff was prepared and capable of taking care of a brand new mother. This could not have been father from the truth. As someone who had to pump every 3 hours, I was harnessed by the staff for not sleeping and when I was able to get a few hours of shut eye, I wasnt woken up to pump, or given anything with an alarm to wake myself up. I had to pump exclusively in my room, for the comfort of the other patients, but lost the little entertainment I had (an iPad with YouTube) when one nurse decided that wasnt fair to the others. I asked to pump in the common area, where there were TVs, but was looked at with disgust for even suggesting it. Anything I asked for, beyond the 3 meals and medication, felt like pulling teeth - it took over 36 hours to get my hemorrhoid cream and retainers from a nearby locked room. My family came by with clothes that the staff never had time to go through and wash so I went without even the smallest of comforts. I was eventually able to leave my state mandated hold when I was able to convince my psychiatrist and social worker that I was not being treated, and therefore should be home with my brand new baby. I explained that the staff would actually tell me they didnt have time or had more sick patients to deal with when asked about accessing photos of my daughter or even getting extra snacks to help with my insatiable hunger. The only way I got out was having a super supportive and capable family at home, and I know I was extremely fortunate because without that I could have been held at this hell-hole indefinitely. Also a recommendation for art therapy - let people have access to more than one piece of crating supplies at a time if you dont want them to feel like incompetent babies. 0 out of 5 starts, would NOT recommend.

Hands down the WORST inpatient experience of my life. From the day I was admitted to the ER because I had to call an ambulance my emergency contacts were never notified. The food made me very sick and were such small portions I was almost starving upon discharge 8 days later and after losing 10 pounds. There is almost no structure to the day and the classes don't include any CBT or DBT. Wealthier patients are given more workbooks and resources but if you're on Medicaid or Medicare good luck. Also beware if you come in on meds that could be deemed "Dependent" - you'll be stripped of those immediately.
