The Polyclinic Downtown

Always had good primary care physicians here but the indifference of their specialists is appalling. They seem to have almost no interest in actually helping their patients. Id felt something "off" for years but chalked it up to bad luck until recently when a friend of a family member had an experience that made me realize how valid my observations were. The man had cancer and already went through two different treatments and wasn't getting any better and was frustrated with their bedside manner. He switched to UW and immediately started seeing improvement on his new treatment plan. That's when I realized sticking with PC may very well get me killed. Update 4/9/24: Run. Stay away from Polyclinic. Their indifference will absolutely get you killed.

Awful phone system, insufficient and unknowledgeable staff and they seem far more concerned with copays and making you pay than actual patient care. Definitely not going again.

Billing issues, people on the billing phone are helpless. No supervisors or anyone with knowledge other than saying "it's already been billed correctly, I cannot look at it again. It's not eligible for supervisor review or code review" ... Optum has a history of issues, and more even causing lawsuits in other states, one of the latest in California. I urge you to read up on this before deciding to have your care here.

If you want emails from a place after you move out of the city, polyclinic is a great option. Their ability to have broken unsubscribe links is quite impressive as is their ability to flat out ignore requests to be removed from mailing lists. Please be aware, if you give them your email address, they will send you emails.
