I highly recommend South Preschool. My child attended 1 year of the preK program. The school is very organized with communication and making sure a student is caught up on any missed work. I love that they do show& tell weekly and lots of arts and crafts. Their curriculum themes are so fun from numbers, letters, animals, planets, gardening, shapes, food, seasons, anatomy etc. They celebrate birthdays (even summer bdays) and holidays by having a Halloween games carnival, Xmas gift exchange, valentine cards, Easter hunts etc. The best was the graduation ceremony, each individual had a moment to shine and enjoy their classmates performance as well! There are opportunities for parents to volunteer for events and big projects. The teachers are amazing and really prepare the kids for Kindergarten by showing them how to be independent. I have no worries about my child starting the big school! My only wish is that my child couldve started at the 2s or 3s class. Darn Covid. South Preschool holds a special place in my familys heart.

Mrs. Pedersen and her team do a great job at south preschool! Our son entered the school year a little late (November) because we were on the waitlist for their pre-k class. We were a little worried that he may not pick things up quick enough to be on track with the rest of the class, but Mrs. Pedersen and Miss Forschler made sure to work extra hard to get him up to speed with everyone else! He had so much fun and made such good friends in the class. To see his progress from November to May, was pretty impressive. He will be entering kindergarten next year!

My eldest child attended South Preschool for 1.5 years before kindergarten. To say the preschool prepared him for elementary is an understatement. South Preschool gave him a rock solid foundation that I believe continues to benefit him to this day (he is currently finishing up 2nd grade).My youngest child attended South Preschool for the last 3 years, through the onset of Covid shut downs, virtual learning, and the cautious return to school. The school has helped bring out all the best in him, and the things he has accomplished, from beginning reading, to the emotional maturity he has gained, amazes me.Ms. Pedersen and Ms. Knight, along with all of the aides and assistants who have helped throughout the years, are nothing short of incredible. Their dedication, flexibility, and genuine love for what they do shines through every day. Both of my children have benefitted immensely from their time at the school, and our family will truly miss the teachers and our time there. Thank you South Preschool!

My husband and I are very happy and grateful to have enrolled both my kids here. They offer classes for toddlers, preschool and pre-kindergarten classes. There are morning and afternoon classes 4days/week. My kids received a substantial and significant start to prepare for kindergarten programs. Mrs. Pedersen and her team had been very graceful during the pandemic and they put the children's learning as their priority by organizing students take-home-activities for pick up with instructions and materials, which we are forever grateful since the lockdowns had been tough for all of us, especially the kids. Their learning programs are in-depth filled with arts and crafts, engaging class projects, alphabets and numbers, science, reading and music/singing. They are nurturing and also teach kids social and team building skills. They will have beginning and mid-term learning assessments for your children as well as parent-teacher conferences. At the end of the year all students are participating in a Class performance and followed with graduation ceremony. Pre-Pandemic, there was a long waitlist to get into South Preschool (that just shows that they are highly recommended and the best in the neighborhood), we were very lucky that there was an opening for my son towards the beginning of school in Fall (2019.)  I suggest to check out their website and call to schedule a tour. We, as parents, are very happy to have entrusted our kids' education and care with South Preschool.
