Stay away! You can get better customer service and workmanship using Phinney Ridge Cabinets or possibly dealing directly with Leicht cabinets or another cabinet company. Although our kitchen turned out great, it was in spite of GKC. Our initial designer , whom we liked, left, and we were tossed around to a variety of people without having a point of contact person for the job. Emails often went unanswered and when the cabinets were finally ready, we had only a couple days notice and they wanted to charge us for storage ( after numerous emails asking about arrival of the shipment that went unanswered.) Fortunately, we have an excellent contractor and he was able to install the cabinets and re-configure a number of items. GKC told us that they had a specialist for installation and that we wouldnt have to worry about that, and that they also had GC and stone people that they work with to make it a seamless experience. It was anything but seamless. There was no installation specialist and the instructions are all in German. Fortunately our contractor is smart and resourceful and we had our kitchen completed in spite of GKC. Would NOT use them again and would NOT recommend. Buyer BEWARE!!!!

I did not have a good experience. At this time, > 8 months after install, I am still waiting for a final cabinet to be installed. Neither my contractor nor their contractor can complete installation. A few things to note - because they do not provide full information until you have paid in full you would not know that cabinets come in specific pre-determined depths (European?) this meant loosing between 4-and 6 inches of cabinet depth for each standard cabinet. It is literally empty space at the back of your cabinet. They will tell you that installation is so easy and the manual tells you everything so clearly. However, the the installation gives about 20% of the info available in an Ikea manual. For example, I received some pieces that were not in the manul or on my drawings but had to be installed. Of course by the time this was realized it was too late. They will blame the contractor, but if an item is not on the drawings, nor described in the install manual how would one know? In another example, they provided a design for a cabinet that my contractor indicated they could not install because it would not be stable. After months of wrangling with GKC they sent their own installer. He indicated he also could not install the item without proper parts and a workable design. I was told by 2 separate contractors that they have had difficult experiences with European kitchen centers. And my experience matches that description.

We are "American Remodeling Experts" contractors from Issaquah and we have been working closely with the German Kitchen Center - with Michal and her team and their customers for the past years. company is very organized, quality workmanship and amazing customer service especially in the tough last year with all the delays on production/shipping that hit the whole industry, but the amazing thing is: in this tough time Michal came up with the idea of providing a temporary kitchen station to maneuver easier through out the waiting time and always answer providing solutions for them and their families, warming their harts !! So the fact that always she will go the extra mile for her clients, trying to get them the best possible (sometimes pushes me to do the impossible for them! only she can). customers always speak highly of her, and I can understand why. she is one of those guys that makes it fun to work with, always have a smile and ask how you are doing. Keep it up, happy to be working with Michal and German Kitchen Center team.

We worked with German Kitchen Center(GKC) and used Pianca for our closet. This whole process is a nightmare to us. We're very disappointed, spent 3.5 months working with GKC on closet design, got super slow response in weeks and was asked to pay around 10k just for the design(no closet) as we want cancellation. The cancellation is based on they don't provide a reasonable design in time. I highly recommend you read my review before work with them. Our closet is just a regular size. We looked at the initial design from Pianca, we like it. We specifically informed GKC that we have HVAC pipe on the closet floor and if they can work around it. They said "it definitely won't be an issue". We signed the contract and our nightmare starts. Please see the following timeline: 11/01/2021: Signed the contract 11/05/2021: Onsite closet measurement 11/21/2021: No news in 2 weeks from GKC. We 1st time asked progress. 11/23/2021: GKC: would send design on 11/29 11/30/2021: Not received design from GKC. We 2nd time asked progress. 12/01/2021: GKC: They said Pianca has concerns over HVAC pipe. But theyre working on it. 12/13/2021: We 3rd time asked progress, told GKC our urgent schedule and felt upset. 12/13/2021: GKC: They would send design on 12/14/2021 12/14/2021: No design sent. 12/20/2021: We 4th time asked progress. 12/22/2021: GKC: finally sent the 1st design considering HVAC pipe. However, the design was very disappointing, way different with what we designed before sign the contract. 01/07/2022: Due to the holiday, we met again and sent our feedback. We emphasized again that we needed the design by end of Jan. 01/19/2022: We 5th time asked progress. GKC said theyll send today. 01/20/2022: Received 2nd design. Not address our feedback on 01/07. GKC said will resend the ask to Pianca. 01/28/2022: We 6th time asked progress. GKC: said no reply from Pianca yet. 01/31/2022: We felt very upset and told GKC if no design ready in 2 weeks, want to cancel the order 02/01/2022- 02/14/2022: We finally get faster iterations. We thought we could close the design. However we found limited drawer depth and shelve size at 11 inch above HVAC pipe in the design. The regular size of one hanger is 18 inch. How can you put the hanger easily under the shelve? We've the ask in 1st design to correct them and they never did. And how can you expect us just say yes to the final design? Our construction project targets finishing in June. There is no time for us to use Pianca closet as this needs at least 3 months shipping from Europe. We also don't feel this kind of communication can lead us to anywhere. The whole process leaves us with 0 trust on GKC. We've to track closely during the progress by ourselves. They certainly: - Not proactively tell us what's going on. - Miss dates to provide design. - Don't put our deadline as priority - Have huge trouble communicate with Pianca: We once just change a drawer front and it took a week's communication!! - Don't know a lot about Pianca and certainly can't tell what Pianca can do and can't. We asked about cancellation and they said they will charge us around 10k for the design. It's insane that they want to charge us this much based on what they provided. I'm super disappointed. We had a meeting with Mayan(CEO). He is 30 mins delay, came with 0 understanding about our design, arrogant, expect we explained the whole thing to him. He said "some closet design can take two years", "don't feel they do anything wrong", "only want to work with good customer" etc. They also claimed they can design what we wanted but our fault to cancel. However, I don't understand how they provide that claim based on the fact how they worked in the past 3.5 months. I want to inform everyone as what happened to us can also happen to you. There are a lot of parties we worked with during our construction (more than 1 year now), GKC and Pianca closet by far is the worst.
