The kiosk does not give any hint about prices until you're a bit into the process. The "buy two, get one free" brought it down to about $6 per key. I opted to *not* smooth the cut ($2 more per key), but the resulting keys (a) worked perfectly in a Schlage exterior door and (b) were easy to smooth with a couple of passes of a knife blade. Then i tried to make a "specialty" key ... and the kiosk wanted to know what make/model of car it goes with. It doesn't. It's not a car key. But there's no bypassing the "what car" prompt. That hiccup and the post-sale phone prompts knock this review down from 5 stars to 4.

Duplicated Keys don't even work, multiple keys made at $12 a piece, do not use

I got 2 keys and a key fob from a KeyMe kiosk. One of the keys works perfectly, the fob works perfectly, but the other key does not work at all. I looked very closely at it next to the original and its noticeably different. That was the key I needed most, unfortunately. I wish there was a way to check whether the duplicate key works before leaving the kiosk.
