DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Seattle Airport

Stephen at the front desk was completely rude and unprofessional. Charged me $50 to stay for parking when the posted rate was $35.

we will NOT be coming back especially when there is a hotel across the road that's CHEAPER and still NEXT TO THE AIRPORT. EXPENSIVE. Outdated. No fridge OR microwave in the room. pop vending machine said $1.50 for a small can and it charged our card $7 AND they said they wouldn't refund, or compensate it back. hit 10 pm and we heard slamming doors, running, loud yelling/talking. Good location as far by the airport but NOT Great as far as surrounding food options. parking is 33 a night and that's not even consistent because they gave a different price to other people for no reason at all, yes I talked to them. restaurant inside are overly priced. no free breakfast, which would've been great considering the amount of money it costs here just to stay. The lamps had paint peeling, some lights did not work, the room I had you could tell people smoked in it. you can tell comforter was not washed. we had to walk extremely far just to get to our hotel room after sitting a 6 1/2 hr layover right before a 3 hr plane ride so we were exhausted. free shuttle from airport to hotel was great and probably the only thing that went correct for this experience. Rooms: outdated, expensive, peeling paint on lamps, broken lamps, some lights didn't work, smoking smell. Nearby activities: literally very few activities you can get to without your own vehicle and paying for parking is required everywhere you go in this town as well as at that hotel. Walkability: walked way to far across to get to our room, they couldn't accommodate a closer room for someone with a cane who's knees buckle 3-4 times a day. Food & drinks: EXPENSIVE. As well as not convenient for surrounding food options either. Noteworthy details: There is a hotel across the road thats same distance from airport with cheaper rooms, better food, and better staff.

We were put up by Alaska airlines due to 4 trip delays for the same flight because of mechanical issues. Some in our party missed connecting flights and some missed the last ferry home. The front desk woman was very nice and efficient for 1:30am. They accommodated our mom who is 90 hastily and customer service was good. Rooms: Rooms were a good size and liked that there was a vanity area outside of the bathroom. Noteworthy details: Sadly, we were returning from an urgent family medical emergency where we had a member of our immediate family pass away. This was not a business nor a vacation trip. This was an unplanned event full of sadness, so much of this I am unable to fill out.
