I was living in a room looking over the street. Room is large enough, separate wardrobe room which is great. Soundproofing is bad, I could hear each car passing by. Beautiful rooms. Great location. Poor service. Had *two* separate conversations on the phone with the front desk attendant, both of which she completely forgot (including some room requests I had made) on arrival, minutes after having them. In one of these conversations I asked if there was parking onsite - the attendant told me that there was valet, but neglected to tell me it was a $45 surcharge. Ouch. When we arrived, we were told the room key machine was broken until the manager arrived that evening (time unknown). We were told we would receive a phone call when the room cards were ready. My partner and I, celebrating our anniversary, wandered around downtown Seattle for a couple of hours, exhausted from travelling, until we had to head back to the hotel due to our upcoming dinner reservation at Japonessa (5 stars). When we arrived, we discovered that our room keys had been ready for us for, presumably, some time. We were unable to unwind before our big dinner plans, which was disappointing. I'm sure others will have better luck - but a disappointing experience for the price tag.

Nice size room, comfy bed, high quality pillows and white goose down filled pillows and comforter, soft bed linens. Luxury robe, nice body lotion. Full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash. They also give you cotton balls and swabs in a nice container. The bathroom is spacious, got shelves and drawers. A separate vanity space, next to a closet where you can hang up clothes. You think that would be standard, but many hotels closer place is very challenging. They delivered New York Times newspapers every morning. I love the marble based lamp on the nightstand, you can adjust the brightness by turning the knob. This is something you dont know you need until you have tried it. Its nice to adjust the brightness to lower before going to sleep or higher if you want to read. Breakfast at the restaurant Lola was fabulous. I had the green scramble. Tasty! The toast was with artisan bread that is full of the kind of French bread aroma. Love!
